I'm an adult, I skate every week. These skates are very durable and comfortable. I was very impressed with the quality of the shoe and the blades. As with all new skates, the blades must be sharpened before first use. I wear shoes in size 6.5-7. I wear running shoes one size up, a size 8, and I bought these for skating. They go perfectly with normal socks (not too thick and not too thin). The laces are very long, if they seem too long to you, watch some YouTube videos on how to lace skate shoes and you will see how to use long laces properly. I definitely recommend buying these skates.
