If you have one at home and your hose is cool, it can help. The only way this conditioner works is by freezing the filter after soaking in water or adding ice water to the water tank. If your house temperature is above 70, this fan will not help you. You can buy a $20 ice box, cut a hole for a $10 fan, and cut a $2 PVC knee hole and get a better cooling system than that. I bought this air conditioner to replace my ice maker and it doesn't work either. This is for my garage office which is sealed and insulated.
