I bought these because they seemed decent for the price and my number plate light assembly kept falling out due to worn clips. I noticed in the product photos that the glass was tinted and I wasn't interested in installing LEDs but bit the bullet anyway, just got them and figured if that didn't work I might as well well go back and buy the OEM. I was pleasantly surprised that a regular incandescent bulb still works very well.
