My granddaughter is only 2 or I would give fewer stars but I am assuming at this point that she has problems with alphabet and number puzzles. based on their age. Considering that one of these puzzles, the fish puzzle, is clearly related to colors, I find it very strange that both the number puzzles and the alphabet puzzles lack useful color coding. That is, the colors in the pictures below the puzzle pieces do not match the color of the matching piece. And why not? It would be SO easy for the seller to provide that little help, but the difference in colors keeps my granddaughter doubting herself. Since it remembers the location of each piece it's a little less of a problem, but it seems to me that increasing color coding can only help a new solver of these puzzles, and what purpose does it serve to confuse a young student in this way ? As for the alphabet puzzle, it is useless for learning the shapes of the alphabet because the pieces of the puzzle are not necessarily the same shape as the letters. In addition, rounded edges make multiple pieces look more alike than they need to be. I am very disappointed in this puzzle because my granddaughter's mother had an alphabet puzzle when she was little that actually had the correct shapes for the pieces and she loved it so I was hoping to give my granddaughter the same pleasure be able. It is not the best choice for a child who is only learning numbers and letters of the alphabet. There are better ways.
