Good, but. in jigsaw puzzles with clothespins

These jigsaw puzzles are very durable and well made. My two year old granddaughter loves them. But I don't understand what they were thinking when they took pictures for the letters. Quail for Q. Indeed. why not a queen. Yarn for Yu What a two-year-old knows what yarn is. Why not Jojo? Basket for B when most children are learning Ball for B. Key for the letter K. A dragon or a king would make much more sense. Her kindergarten also works with her alphabet, but it's difficult when I use different

Not the usual M&D quality.

Melissa & Doug is the brand our family trusts for our children. We've made several toys and other puzzles out of this and love the quality. These puzzles were not of the quality we know and love. This is definitely not the wood material that our previous jigsaw puzzles were made from. These are very thin. I don't see them lasting for years like other jigsaw puzzles. (Example: We have a 3 piece pet puzzle and it has lasted for over 10 years!) I think if my little one chews on any piece he will…

Nice puzzle, bit confusing pieces

Pretty good puzzle set. My two problems with number and letter puzzles are that some pieces get placed in places they don't belong (z up or upside down (e.g. 8, S, X and Z) while others fit ( E.g. I, H and N). The only thing that bothers me about the color puzzle is that the orange can be a little darker, my son confused it with yellow several times when he started using the puzzle. My son (22 months ) really enjoys playing with these puzzles, although some pieces are a bit frustrating for him.

Garbage. Shit quality. waste of money. Just paper on it.

I didn't think I could go wrong with puzzles. And I heard that Melissa and Doug's stuff is very good quality. But if what I received is a true representation of their products then I will not be buying from them again. The paper on the puzzle pieces has nothing. like a coat over it that we didn't even think to look at before we gave it to our daughter. She is only 1 but she understands so much. In 1, of course, she still has something in her mouth. She only had a fish puzzle for 5 minutes…

Highly recommended jigsaw puzzles

Bought these jigsaw puzzles when my daughter was 19 months old; now she is 23 months old. My husband and I wanted her to work on her fine motor skills and also thought these puzzles would help her learn colours, numbers and letters. She learned how to solve these puzzles in a matter of weeks. She loves these puzzles, especially fish and numbers. She will bring and solve these puzzles many times throughout the week. Plus, we got three of these puzzles for less than $20; The individual cost of…

Great learning tool

I LOVE this puzzle set! My son learned the colors with the fish puzzle and it was one of the first puzzles he could solve on his own. He likes to "experiment" by putting the wrong colors together before putting them in the right place. Now we're working on the numbers, and it's nice that they're so big. Below the numbers are the same number of objects (4 mice under 4), and the word ("four") is below the numbers. It is very detailed and useful for learning. The "weakest" of the puzzles, in my…

Not the best quality but for the price I think you get what you pay for.

I would like to start by saying that I usually love Melissa&Doug products and have bought a lot for my daughter in the past. For the most part they are all of good quality. These puzzles fall short of their usual standards and are mediocre at best. The first one I opened was a number puzzle and I knew right away that the quality isn't that good. The pieces are not all cut very well and even I struggled to fit a few pieces into the board (even ZERO). How can a child do that without getting…

Design could be better

My granddaughter is only 2 or I would give fewer stars but I am assuming at this point that she has problems with alphabet and number puzzles. based on their age. Considering that one of these puzzles, the fish puzzle, is clearly related to colors, I find it very strange that both the number puzzles and the alphabet puzzles lack useful color coding. That is, the colors in the pictures below the puzzle pieces do not match the color of the matching piece. And why not? It would be SO easy for the…
