Review on Revitalize Your Child's Mind with Melissa & Doug's Classic Wooden Puzzles by Dean Ledet

I would like to start by saying that I usually love Melissa&Doug products and have bought a lot for my daughter in the past. For the most part they are all of good quality. These puzzles fall short of their usual standards and are mediocre at best. The first one I opened was a number puzzle and I knew right away that the quality isn't that good. The pieces are not all cut very well and even I struggled to fit a few pieces into the board (even ZERO). How can a child do that without getting upset? After playing with the puzzle a few times, I found that the stickers that were stuck to the front of the puzzle were already peeling off the edges. When my 18 month old daughter found this out she kept fiddling with the sticker and eventually I had to put the puzzle together to keep it from getting any worse. I have to re-tap them around the edges. I opened up the fish/color puzzle hoping it would put together better...but same thing...peel off the sticker. The cutouts seem to be a little better. My daughter is good at jigsaw puzzles but is still frustrated that the cuts aren't perfect for the board. destroyed. I'll have to wait until my daughter is older to use them I guess....
