Review on 🚚 CURT 45796: 18-Inch Long Trailer Hitch Extension for 2-Inch Receiver, 3,500 lbs - Black (Highly Effective & Reliable) by Gary Cole

This stuff is super meaty. The shaft, which fits into the socket on the vehicle, is made of solid steel. I don't think you'll ever need to replace this thing - it's a giant piece of steel. If you just stuck out your phone and someone hit you from behind, I think it would go right through the poor bastard's engine block. Not sure if this will work for my purposes - I'll update the review if I find out. I'm trying to use this with a hitch bed on an FJ cruiser - don't know if it's long enough for my spare tire to clear the shelf. Update: This length works great for my purposes. I highly recommend this product if you are trying to clean a spare tire or tailgate with a side hinge like the FJ.
