These ports were great. After we moved into a new house I had to rewire the surround sound system. I used to use pin connectors but the ones I used didn't hold the wires securely and the wires pulled out easily and in some cases just fell out without provocation. I decided to upgrade my ports and chose from a variety of options. in Revan. I'm glad I spent the extra money to upgrade my ports. It is so easy to securely connect wires to them that even a child can do it. In fact, I used them as a tutorial to show my 8 year old daughter how to strip speaker wire and make connections. She made all 6 speakers (under my supervision of course) and all connections worked perfectly. I didn't have to repeat any of them. The wires are very secure. You can even handle them roughly and they don't come out as easily as the cheaper connectors.
