A great device for the long term, but difficult to set up with my Apple iPad. I followed the instructions that appeared to set up the device with ease. Then after 5 minutes it disappeared from the Apple Homekit app and from the Eve app. I restarted my iPad and had to hard reset Eve Energy. The hard reset worked, but the instructions weren't very clear on how to do it. Basically, power off/on the device and hold the button with the LED pressed (about 20 seconds!) until the LED starts flashing red. You can then add the device again. Just note that you may need to reconnect it to your smart home. The website says this can be a problem when updating Apple iOS. Do not give up. Fast update. I've been using it for 1 month with no problems. Works perfectly. I will buy more. ANOTHER UPDATE: Been using it for almost 2 years with no problems. I find this works better than the ihome versions.
