Get a bit of elbow grease

.because you're gonna need it. The table top that comes with this table is a 3-layer, scrap piece of plywood with a bit of wood stain and that's it.Complete with a staple still embedded in it, this surface looks like a piece of a wooden shipping box was chopped up and bolted on to what is an otherwise solid frame (the only one listed featuring diagonal bracing). That being said, I'm buying a second one since the engineering is sound, it fits my sofa setup, and the table top can be quickly resolved if you have the right stuff. If you don't mind a bit of work, here's what I did to finish mine up:1. quick sanding pass with a sanding block (I had extra drywall sanding blocks laying around)2. wipe clean3. 2 coats of poly4. "sand" again with a piece of the box that it came in to get rid of the tiny bumps that sometimes happen when you use poly5. wipe clean and it's done!Oh and also, it doesn't come with feet. You'll have to stick some felt ones on yourself.Would have given it a full 5 if they did their job but considering I had to finish their product myself, it only deserves 3.

Pros
  • Side table
Cons
  • Prone to chipping and flaking off paint
