I bought these after my c-section. I got one of the medical grade bands from the hospital but it tended to bend right at my incision point so I bought this hoping it wouldn't cause that problem; however this underwear was not quite tight enough to support my muscles either. I kept using the band I got from the hospital, because I would get sore if I only wore these. The underwear works great now that my son is three months and I don't need as much support. They are like super spanks and make me feel more comfortable when I am out of the house as far as holding in all the new "softness" that my body has acquired. I would still buy them again. I wear them over my underwear so I can wear them for a couple days. I also wash them in my washing machine, but I hang them to dry and they are still tight enough to provide support.
