Just what I needed when I decided to relocate my washing machine, which put it about 4 feet from the drain. Easy installation, just pull the old hose out of the drain (leave part of the washing machine where it is), put the clamps on the rubber hose, almost in the middle. Then I first pinched and twisted the rubber hose at the end of the old hose. A little dish soap around the inside of the hose will do the trick because it's a snug fit (which is good). I then twisted the new hose - making sure you use the flat end with no ribs - into a rubber hose. Open both clamps and slide each to the end of the rubber hose. Put the other end in the drain and you're done. I gave this product 4 stars because it doesn't come with a U-shaped hose clamp to hold the hose in the drain. I had to use a zip tie to hold it in place - you do NOT want that hose to come out of the drain in the middle of a flush!
