Review on πŸ–‹οΈ Versatile 13-Pack Calligraphy Pen Set: Black & Color Dual Brush Pens for Beginners - Ideal for Hand Lettering, Watercolor Illustrations, and Journaling by Amber Perez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mixture bag here. Some are good and some are bad. Call yourself.

I was actually going to give it 2 stars but I increased it to 3 which I get in a minute. You will get 8 brush pens, 3 different size black pens, 1 black brush and a water brush. No complaints. Good black colour, not dry etc. The water brush is a great bonus although I already had it, great for beginners. And it comes in handy when you want to mix colors. The fine tips of the dual-tip colored pencils are good - the colors are bright and rich, the tips are firm and won't bend or wear out. BAD - the black brush pen is so-so. It's flexible, but almost too flexible. This makes it difficult to write smoothly, even for someone like me who has been doing calligraphy for over 2 years. TERRIBLE - Colored brush pens are TERRIBLE for brush calligraphy. They are not flexible, they do not spring back. Literally the first time I used one it almost made a crunching noise and was immediately bent and worn out. AMAZINGLY BIG - The only redeeming factor about these brush pens is that they blend amazingly well. The colors are very pigmented and work really well with watercolors if you use a water brush. They are more pigmented than any other brush I've used for watercolors. I haven't directly compared Karin markers, but they definitely outperform Tombow and Pentel. me. It's a great price and all but I just wish I could use brush calligraphy brush pens. I mean, that doesn't seem like much to ask. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
