I ordered a few months ago but only unpacked today. I wasn't thrilled with his discovery as based on other reviews I was expecting an inferior, cheap, lightweight product with a weld mandrel in the eye. I'm very observant so from what other reviewers wrote I was sure I was really bothered by the dirty welding work they described. However, due to the low price I bought it to last a long time until I found a paper towel holder that I really liked. When I opened the box I was amazed at how spacious this item is. At least it's not cheap. The base is very heavy, which allows it to pull the towels off the roll evenly. The finish is absolutely beautiful, super shiny and flawless. The assembly was immediate. You simply connect three parts together. However, since the parts are bolted together, I was expecting them to be a bit loose and wobbly once assembled. NO! Once screwed together, this part is solid! I love it so much I'm ordering a second one. This is a great article. The finish is beautiful, the base is heavy, the item is durable and functional. I am very happy with this purchase and will not be looking for another model to replace it. As for the top weld that so many people have complained about, no, it's not the cleanest weld in the world. However, the metal is so shiny that with all the light bouncing off this thing, you can't see the weld unless you're looking for it. If that bothers you a lot, you can just omit the top end. As I said, this usually annoys me like crazy and my eye is always focused on every blemish. This does not apply to this product. It looks great in my kitchen and was a real bargain at a very low price. I love the glossy finish, clean design and quality of this product. I think it's worth more than what I paid for it.
