Great ink for everyday use

This has become my favorite blue ink. I use it at work for business applications and I always have at least one pen with this pigment ink. It has a purple to blue hue (see picture of letter patterns). I often use Noodler's Ink, as well as Diamine and Pilot. Blue ink seems to be such a personal preference that it's difficult to recommend blue ink to others. However, I think there are a few qualities of this ink that are really worth trying. The ink flows very well and writes fluently. I like the EF tip (extra fine) because I prefer medium to dry pens, but the standard fine or medium point pens have very smooth ink. dries quickly; 2-3 seconds in EF spring. Very good drying time for wet ink. While everyone has a favorite shade of blue that is perfect for them, this purple shade of blue works well for formal business communications. It projects a certain seriousness into the work. The color is very rich and strong. The ink lasts a long time and cleaning wasn't a problem for me. There is a small stain on the transducer, but nothing out of the ordinary. To change from pigment inks to other inks, it is enough to clean the pen with water. I don't connect the EF pen. I use it in the Pilot vanishing point pen and it always starts writing without skipping a bar even if it hasn't been used for a week. Overall this is an excellent ink with good performance.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
