I love this coat and so does my dog. Firstly, my dog is not a greyhound but a beagle mix who is longer and thinner than one would expect for his size. Other coats are too short and don't cover it. Because they were designed for a different body type I wouldn't call them a "perfect fit" but they are way better than anything I've tried. The downside is that the waist belt is a little tight (again, greyhounds are a slimmer breed so I bought a size up) which exposes the velcro. I hate velcro but couldn't find a coat that was the right length and had a buckle. I make a living with this coat simply pulled over my head and tied at my stomach. Don't worry about your legs and it will be great for morning walks. The neck "unrolls" and almost covers the ears, making it nice and toasty in the Kansas wind and rain. But mostly I leave it folded. When I said my dog loves this coat I wasn't kidding. She has hardly taken it off since it arrived yesterday. This seems to comfort her as she likes to cover herself with blankets. She doesn't "dig" or fidget as much as she tries to get comfortable enough to lie down. Leaving it with her all the time also gives her the bonus of being warm when she wants to use the dog door, so I worry less about not having a potty in the house because of inclement weather (freezing rain during the winter). sleeping) avoids some days).
