When I opened the box I found that this tool does not center the holes. The black metal you are drilling through is not centered on the aluminum sides attached to the wood. In a photo you can see that the black metal and the drilled hole are off center! I drilled three holes in my board and none of them were centered. 2 were close to the edges of my board, but the hole in the center of the board was at least 1/16 inch off center. Without this device I could center better. I bought it to speed up the process, but it's useless if you want accuracy! Since nothing is parallel either, the aluminum side parts attached to the wood only lie snugly against the board on one side. On the other side there is a 1/16 inch gap. The light is only 4 3/4 inches long. See photo of aluminum fitting snugly on one side to gap on other side (finger points to gap). This product is useless for me!
