Review on Sylvan HX 3000 Hydroxyl Generator Optional by Sadie Holbrook

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Hydroxide Generation Minimal at best, no airflow

It's good to have a Hydroxyl Generator (PCO) and ozone combination. However, the placement of the TiO2 plate at the air intake results in a low amount of hydroxyl groups (too far from the lamp) and also severely restricts airflow, resulting in little to no air escaping the unit, despite what it claims to be becomes a 120 cfm fan. . The static load of the fan cannot overcome the limitation. If they used a larger TiO2 panel inside the block next to the UVA lamps and didn't restrict the airflow with the TiO2 mesh to start with, the airflow would be better and there would be more hydroxyls to fight the VOCs. Maybe they'll fix this in the future, but in this state I can't recommend it for generating hydroxyl, and as an ozone generator it's too expensive.
