It works as advertised. I am impressed. Even though this product has so many four and five star reviews I was skeptical because I have very bad rust stains in my toilet from my well water. I've tried pumice stone and various chemicals like iron, but none of them worked properly. These pads from Shaws removed rust very easily. I did have to rub and press on the pillow, but it wasn't as hard as I expected. I have developing arthritis in my hands and this light peeling bothered me a little but as I didn't have to rub much it was ok. People with significant arthritis in their hands may not be able to apply the light pressure needed for these pads to work. I think I might try the available pad grip. I've read in some other reviews that the grip isn't as effective because the pad can't be bent to fit the curves and corners of the toilet, but I can still try and see if it's easier on my hands .
