Complex assembly for terrariums

I took a young red-footed turtle that was kept outside. I live in an apartment so I needed something to place it inside. It's still fairly small, so it should last a few years. I also like that I can expand it by adding another habitat later if I want. It's fairly roomy, and the doors and latches are light and comfortable. The main disadvantage I see concerns the assembly. Some pieces have pre-drilled holes and some don't, so there's nothing to guide or make screwing the two pieces together easier. For example, the photo shows step 1 of the assembly instructions. Part E has pre-drilled holes but not at the ends of parts A and B where you attach them to part E. This happens when the two parts are screwed together. Only one side has pre-drilled holes. This makes tightening screws difficult and leaves a lot of room for part misalignment. The instructions say you need a Phillips head screwdriver, but it would be very difficult to assemble without an electric or cordless screwdriver, screwdriver, or drill. Luckily I have all that. After aligning the parts, I drilled small pilot holes with a drill and then installed the screws. That made things easier, but doubled the construction time. I'm a pretty easy going guy and that was frustrating for me. Maybe I got a defective one. However, I still recommend it, but be aware of what it takes to build it.
