Review on Garmin Elastic Strap for Heart Rate Monitor Replacement: Standard Packaging by Charlie Conner

After using my Garmin 305 for 4 years my HRM strap just wouldn't stay in place. He moved frequently and after a few minutes he was always on my stomach. I looked at the ribbon and it was curly like bacon and not that tasty. There is no elasticity! I ordered a new bracelet and my HRM is working again. It was very easy to fit the new strap and by comparing the new strap to the old it was clear I needed a replacement. And thanks to Garmin for separating the expensive HRM from the rubber strap, making it relatively inexpensive to replace the strap. My only disappointment with the product is that it wears out and needs to be replaced. I've found that I get a little more belt-free time than most, but it would be nice to have a superior product that lasted longer.
