I spent a good hour and a half trying to figure out how to connect it to my wifi because of the terrible manual it comes with. When you are adding the device, you want to go to "small home appliances” and then "pet feeder WITH CAMERA”. The manual tells you to choose just the pet feeder, which will lead you down a frustrating road of failing to connect. The app will show a QR code that you scan with the camera on the feeder and it will make a very loud noise or prompt when it reads it. This part took a little bit of trial and error since I didn’t understand what the different noises it was making was, since the manual of course doesn’t tell you that. Once I figured this out, set up was so easy. I would give this 5 stars if the manual did a better job at actually telling you how to set up.Besides this, it’s a great automatic feeder with a clearer camera than I was expecting in the dark. The app to schedule feeding times is easy to use, but the portion sizes are too broad in my opinion. 3 servings is about a 1/2 cup and I usually feed my cat a little less than this but I found 2 portions to be a little too small.I like that if my power goes out, you can install three D batteries (not included) for a backup. The top lid also feels pretty secure, although my cat wouldn’t really try to get it off.It really is a nice feeder and I’d recommend it, but I hope you figure out more quickly than I did how to set it up. I will update my review if I have any more problems with it.Edit: if the power goes out and then comes back on, it will not automatically reconnect to the wifi. I think it will still feed based on the schedule you previously set, but I am not sure how long the batteries will last. The camera does not work when it is not connected to wifi, so you wont be able to use that until you reset it and connect it back to wifi.
