For hanging as a decorative element only. It is not to be used as a stocking. The material is so thin it's almost like tissue paper. It's made from the thinnest felt material, which is also coated with a white fluffy substance that leaves a fluffy feel on whatever you put inside. I bought this to use as stocking filler for small stocking fillers. I put it on a chair and put a few items in it, but the stocking couldn't support the actual weight of the chair and it still broke in three different places. Extremely inferior materials. Pretty much the only thing it's good for is hanging completely empty on the wall just to show.
