This is a versatile microphone. Connect directly to a 3/4-channel Tascam digital recorder or use it with the h1n Zoom in your pocket for reliable quality assurance. Use Deity's D-XLR adapter to connect to your Juicedlink/Beachtek preamp and then to your DSLR, and it's very convenient to use as the main audio. Can even be used with an iPhone Lightning Adapter and it works. Very impressed with the sound. You can hear the rustle of crumpled clothes, but in general the sound is crisp, clear and resonant. I think they should have a shorter cord with an adapter and an extension because it can be long and cumbersome to work with, but I understand why they do it and I'm really just being picky. The only thing I would really like to change is the size of the microphone head. It's quite large in terms of lava, so not the humblest of deals. But not a big problem here either. All in all a good set to be happy with.
