Works great so far as a drive with Samsung 950pro nvme.

I think it will do. After the purchase, I decided to simply update the entire system under nvme. I haven't done enough homework to update the BIOS on the X58 EVGA. I bought a Samsung 950pro which should be backwards compatible. It works fine as a drive, but I need to do something to make it work as a boot drive. I will also try it as a boot drive on the Asus P8Z68-V LX. I know Intel won't be updating Specter & Meltdown on the I7 920, but I'm hoping they will for the I7 3770.
