I don't understand why this product has such a high rating. I've ordered three of these and they're all poorly constructed, where the 'drop point' on the hinge - the part where the lock's deadbolt actually falls down to latch - is too shallow (especially if you flip it over for a door to open ). Another way). So it's easy to release by just pushing and pulling the door until it opens. I don't see why they don't just make it a little deeper so they work better. Also, the instructions that come with it are poor and don't say anything about door jamb depth and proper orientation, which definitely affects how the lock works. Finally, the screws that come with the kit are incredibly cheap and too easy to remove for installation. Of course, other folding locks are better.
