They make it easy to transfer the last lotion into the next bottle or into a smaller bottle. They screw onto the receiver, the bottom bottle, and the other bottle needs to balance on top of the funnel. It can be a little tricky to balance certain bottle shapes, but it's MUCH better than trying to balance them straight from top to bottom.
