I bought this in January and have been very happy with it for 6 weeks now that it has been working. So quiet compared to the overly noisy humidifier I used to use. I also like the simple design. Everything was right with the world. Before. For inexplicable reasons, the humidifier was not running at maximum speed. But it worked on lower settings so everything was fine. Before. The humidifier turned off at a slightly lower setting but ran at half power, which was annoying. I washed the container, checked for ignition, nothing. The humidifier keeps turning off if you turn it on above a certain point, which at the time of writing this article is so low as to be completely ineffective. A completely useless piece of slippery looking plastic junk. One package came with a coupon for a free humidifier to prevent calcification. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO to get this freebie is leave a review. I've decided if this humidifier is worth the money - and it SHOULD be, I mean have you seen all the 5 star reviews? If this humidifier was worth the money, it would be built not to rely on an extra part to do what it was designed to do in the first place. How many of the 5-star reviews are written by people who benefit from this giveaway? Save money and buy a humidifier that might not be as smooth and cool but actually lasts 6+ weeks. UPDATE: The seller contacted me shortly after posting the review with an offer to provide a replacement or refund for the purchase. I asked for a refund as I needed to replace the device quickly. The seller's response was immediate and I really appreciated that they wanted to fix my bad experience with this product. For this reason I've changed my original rating from one star to two, maybe it's a great product after all and I just got married - anyway their customer service is very responsive. Although I bought the unit a few months ago, if I had a rebuild I would contact the seller first as they were interested in rectifying the situation.
