Review on Broan NuTone 634M Roof Black Round by Carlos Cardoso

Nice big cap. I like the Broan more than most because I think its design is much better at keeping out the rain. than many others I have seen. This lid (634M) has the same overall area as the 634, except the 634M is made specifically for 6" and has a built in "collar" for attaching your 6" flex or heater element. Pipe where 634 is just a big hole and you need to buy or make a collar of the appropriate size and nail it to the roof before installing the cap. It appears to be a well-made cover and overall I'm happy with it. not 5 stars, I couldn't find an aluminum version which I prefer because my house is on the coast and I try to avoid steel whenever possible. Another reason is the cost. As I mentioned, the 634 and 634M are pretty much the same cap, except one has a built in 6" collar and the other has an 8" hole which allows for several different sizes of vents. For some reason the 634M (this one here) costs almost TWICE the price of the 634 which doesn't make any sense at all and for those two reasons I'm giving this 4 stars but overall I'm happy with my purchase.
