Review on Fittings Hydraulic Crimping Crimper Pressing by Charles Russell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Should have been called pipe crimping tool but Ts

Worked well on angled straight connectors but not Ts. Using a hydraulic pump is a great idea and makes it easy to put 600 pounds of pressure on a fitting. Regarding situation T, the workaround is https://www.amazon.com/Lead-Brass-Fitting-Class-Female/dp/B003OYJEI8/ref=pd_sbs_3/139-2733760-5853036?pd_rd_w=b37cX&pf_rd_p=0f56f70f-21e6 - 4d11 -bb4a-bcdb928a3c5a&pf_rd_r=W80R2ECX4G29W2CTRVQA&pd_rd_r=2e212d06-482d-4a43-93ed-15879a06c417&pd_rd_wg=RbZOE&pd_rd_i=B003OYJEI8&psc)=1. I have finished installing this water heater with DIY tool (Up.date)=1. All 10 Viega Propress 90 degree elbows were used - 20 tight crimps with no leaks. A micro-leak was found on the above T-piece (not Propress) due to under tightening. This is my discovery of this tool - the Propress connection can be twisted! I used this feature to tighten the T-fitting bolt and there were no more leaks, even on Propress milled connections. Thus, a "rotatable" strong Propress connection was made with this tool.

Pros
