They are attractive but fragile. We've already had two breaks and apart from a piece of metal on the floor there were no signs of injury. Of course, both broken stops were on 1-3/4 solid garage doors (and they're heavier than our regular solid wood doors). It was a gamble to buy these invisible eyes, but personally I would go for something more substantial.
