Overall, the shelves are a good value. They only hold up to 15 lbs with the included wall anchors and brackets. So, definitely not for heavy items or for being loaded up. One frustration I had was that when I tried to screw in a bracket on a couple of the shelves, where the markings are for the screw the wood fell apart around the screw and there was nothing to hold the screw in. I had to move the bracket over and screw it into a different spot for the screw to hold into the wood.The shelves definitely prove themselves to be for small objects and light weight. I would not hang these low enough for children to reach if staggered height and you would have something on the top shelf they might want as they may try to climb the shelves and will get injured. Just be mindful of how you will use them in your home.
