Review on πŸš— TYC 800120P2 Cabin Air Filter Replacement for Nissan Frontier by Robert Blair

Revainrating 2 out of 5

bad instructions and wrong seats

Instructions for the cabin filter are not good. Although the instructions were for the correct application (Nissan Frontier 2001-2004), the instructions say you should have tabs at the bottom on both filters. In this form they do not fit at all. The original filters (it's a two piece unit) that came out had a top filter with the tap up and a bottom filter with the tab down. There is also an arrow on the filters showing the direction of air flow. It can only go in when the arrows are pointing in opposite directions. I might have accidentally gotten the bottom two filters or the top two filters, but either way, next time I'll go with a well-known brand like Wix or Denso. I just replaced the cabin air filter on my 2011 Tundra with a Denso and it fit perfectly and the instructions were correct. TYC's low price doesn't justify a custom fit and poor instructions.
