*** Updated Review as promised ***Fitting to a Mongoose bike from Walmart.I've spent about a week now fitting this kit to my bike. When I first got the kit, I went straight to work. Everything takes quite a bit of time when you don't really know what you're doing. The instruction manual basically shows a picture of what it's going to tell you to do, and then it tells you "to do it." So for the manual I would give it 0 stars.I got the new tire and tube put on, pumped it up, threw the gear sprocket that came with the kit on the electric hub and thought I was good to pop it into the bike. After tightening everything up I noticed the wheel would not turn. I eventually figured out it was the sprocket not spaced out from the fork after a few trials and errors. I tried multiple different washer combinations, but nothing would work. The kit did NOT supply the needed spacer, I think it anticipated you taking it off your old bike. Unfortunately, the wheel on my old bike had like a 10mm bolt through it, not the 14mm that this kit uses. So back to the washers, I just couldn't figure it out. I had to find a store that sells a M14x1.5 bolt, and nobody did except Home Depot. I screwed the bolt on, not all the way otherwise it would mess with the sprocket but enough to give it a tiny gap between sprocket and bike fork. The fun part was fixing the clamp down brakes I had in the back, since the kit offset the tire in the fork by a little bit. Little tip. Run disk brakes only, as you should with these high powered ebike kits anyway. I have them in the front at least and will eventually put them on the back. Now that everything is put together, wired up and what not I was afraid that the kit would have some malfunction for me having taken the tire off and put it on so many times. It surprised me. Took right off.At first, I had the speed/wattage limiting wire connected which I completely forgot about, and I got to wondering why I could only go like 16MPH on flats, 8-10 or so up hill. Disconnecting the wire allows for up to 28-30 flats and 20ish up hills. The battery I am using is a 15aH 52V triangle like lockable battery. Being 80-90% charged, it got me about 8-9 miles or so (on hills, and not really pedaling). Speed can be controlled by throttle, but it's easier to just run the 750-watt setting if you don't want to eat up the battery fast.Good kit for the money. Has its flaws. Would buy a better kit, but if you don't have the money this is the kit for you.
