As others have said this unit could be almost perfect if sealed around the door. But there are holes in the bottom, so if water gets in there, it drains out. I just wish it wasn't a problem in the first place. It's well made, very easy to install, looks great when installed. I'd still recommend it, but I'd also pay $50 more for it if they just designed a properly sealed box. Final thought: It's a bit small. I mainly use mine to hold 4 emergency triangles and two X-Chocks. After these elements are nested, there is some free space, but not much. I didn't want to put anything in it that can't get wet.
