This is a factory filter used by VW on many vehicles. Please note that this particular filter is NOT a cold weather filter. In cold weather, the paper element is covered in white foam to keep the snow from getting wet and costs a few dollars more. I live where it doesn't snow so I can use this filter for cold weather and it saves me a few bucks. As expected from Mann filters, the fit and finish is high quality, and installation takes only minutes. There's no reason to take the car to the dealership and pay extra when you can put this filter in yourself.
