Review on πŸš— Walker Ultra EPA 52284 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter for Exhaust Systems by Matt Patnaik

Incomplete, check welds!

When I received it it was well built, stainless steel as advertised if you can't tell its curvature (might take a bit of strength but the cat is a lot smaller than the original so I'm not sure ). there was a small problem. A 1/2 weld was missing at the connection points for the bolts to the rest of the exhaust pipe (not on the manifold side). not noticing the missing weld) the exhaust was still a bit noisy and didn't put much pressure on the exhaust pipe. This is where we discovered the problem. The shop also found a small hole in the weld connecting the top to the manifold and patched it, adding to the problems. After it was welded the product works very well, if I hadn't received one with a missing weld and a small hole I would rate it VERY highly as it is a high quality metal and the cat looks good too, the installation is also very good very good. In summary: visually inspect the welds and check them, when you receive yours make sure they are watertight. If they don't, pay them or send them back. There are no nuts welded on as they need to be replaced on OEM parts. These are 5/16 inch nuts. Good luck with all your repairs. Don't be put off by the good reviews I'm pretty sure mine only has one bad one. It happens.
