Review on Giro Scamp MIPS: The Ultimate Safety Gear for Youth Recreational Cycling by Kevin Pirlet

I bought this helmet for my daughter because I liked the MIPS head protection system. Unfortunately, the way the system is mounted on the helmet results in hair getting caught in it every time she puts the helmet on. My daughter could not remove her helmet without screaming in pain as it pulled her hair out and got stuck on her. I have an adult version of this helmet and it is well finished internally and this issue seems to have been resolved. It is very disappointing to see that they are skimping on the kids version. Had to send it back because my 5 year old daughter couldn't even take the helmet off on her own without pulling out large strands of hair. A real bummer.
