This player is cheap, and I mean CHEAP. It may look nice and stylish, but it's not worth the $75 I paid for it and I don't think it's worth the current discounted price (the price has changed several times since I bought it). Others say it has a nice, clear sound, and after testing it, yes, I agree. There isn't much bass, but the sound is mostly clear. But as for the rest of the player, I can't say anything more positive. I am sorry to say but this item is of such poor quality that it may fall apart if left on a shelf and not used. The device is 17 inches long, 7.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high. . .and weighs only 4.4 pounds. This light weight is a sign of the cheap materials used to build this device. From the CD cover and slot to the flat volume and tuning knobs, small switches, power and antenna cables, this unit is cheap. not the easiest setup. The tuner dial (left) has small grooves on its surface and the volume knob has a single rounded finger cavity, but those small features don't help much with its chunkiness. And the ON/OFF/CD/USB/FM and DBB switches (for "extra" bass) are small, very small, and I don't see them lasting very long, especially the on/off switch. And as for the FM antenna and power cord, the antenna is nothing more than a very thin wire coming out from the back and the power cord is almost as thin, and also they cannot be removed if accidentally damaged. Most players I've owned have at least been able to replace the power cord. This player doesn't even have a carrying handle. . . no battery compartment, which I find quite odd considering it's meant to be "portable". I have attached photos of the player and its various components. Also, the included instructions weren't in English (apparently Spanish) so I had to guess at some features. I've had a lot of music players in my life, so I was able to figure out what does what through trial and error; But for many non-electronics enthusiasts, obscure instructions can lead to significant frustration. I can understand some of the instructions written for speakers of a different language, but since English is the primary language in the US, the instructions need to be printed in English as well. One thing I have to add while testing the CD: after a few minutes the player started making a continuous ticking/clicking noise. It wasn't very loud, but close to the device the noise was very noticeable and quite annoying. It wasn't my hard drive. All in all, while this player looks and sounds decent, it's easily the cheapest player I've seen and I can't help but be deeply disappointed, especially for the price. I have paid. Because of everything I said above, I can't give this one more than two stars, which is generous. Other negative reviews about this player are on top. I would like to believe more in their accuracy. But now I know and I'll give it back. If you are looking for a quality player, you can skip this one. . .if you just want pure sound which probably won't last long given the extremely poor design of this unit.
