Review on Aviano Large Room Air Purifier with 7-Stage Filtration System (up to 700 sq ft.), Includes 2 Replacement Filter Sets by Tammy Johnson

This box was brand new to begin with, it was in a box within another box and everything was factory sealed so I know it was fresh from the factory. Still I set it to automatic and every time it shows red bars (poor air quality) it runs for about 10 minutes and then turns green and shows green bars corresponding to good air quality. At first glance, this would be awesome, but if you turn it off and immediately turn it back on, it turns red again and repeats the entire cycle again. After this behavior, I decided that the entire auto-detection mode was some kind of cheating, so I decided to test it by blowing smoke near the device. The air quality indicator stayed green (good air quality) and did not turn red (poor air quality). It's obvious that auto-detection doesn't work very well, but everything else about this device works fantastic. If you buy it to automatically detect how bad the room is and turn it on when needed, your mileage may vary. I don't know if this is a manufacturing defect as several other people have mentioned the same thing as me, however there are people here who say it works great in Auto. It's only day one so I'll keep using the device and update this review if necessary, but it seems to do a great job when it comes to manually cleaning a room.
