Review on ZOTAC GeForce GT 730 Zone Edition 4GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card - High Performance for Gaming and Multimedia by Chris Tisdale

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent Workstation Card

I bought this card because I was upgrading my monitor and needed a new card to take full advantage of the new monitor (2560 x 1440). I needed a card that only occupied one PCI slot, didn't require additional power supply beyond the PCI Express slot, and didn't have a fan. I can confirm that this card works perfectly on Linux Mint 19.1, no additional drivers needed to be downloaded. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the heatsink is too thick and blocks access to the 32-bit PCI slot next to the PCI Express16 slot it is in. This card is a great upgrade if you don't care about high performance. gaming but want a good workstation card. Just for reference, my boat anchor is a Super Micro X6DAL-TB2 with 2 Intel Xeon 3.6GHz processors, 12GB of registered ECC RAM, 2TB on a RAID controller and Linux Mint 19.1 64-bit.
