Review on 📞 AltoPlus Amplified Corded Phone - Clarity 54505.001, Black by Michael Cox

Bought this phone for a 90 year old dementia patient with severe hearing loss. The phone can be configured so that the gain is unity when the handset is picked up, which is what this user wanted. Now she can hear, and I can hear from across the room too. I tried other phones before ordering this one and they just didn't boost the audio enough for it. Now we can make a call. In fact, now it may be easier to talk to her on the phone than in person. :) Side note: As someone who has never looked for a phone with an amplification, I've found many claims of around 20dB of gain. This will suffice for those who are just beginning to notice that they are missing a word or two here or there. The 53dB gain is enough for someone who is practically deaf to use a phone.
