Review on πŸ’ Enhanced ETUDE HOUSE Dear Darling Water Tint Cherry Ade: Vibrant Lip Tint for Hydrated Lips, Infused with Nourishing Pomegranate & Grapefruit Extracts by Savanna Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

As good as Benetint on my cheeks for 1/10th the price.

I am a longtime fan of Benefit Cosmetics Benetint and this Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint was very similar in terms of packaging and color so I took a chance and bought both. cherry and strawberry. It was only $3.88 each and I figured I had nothing to lose if it didn't do well. These two arrived the other day, well sealed and in 35 gauge glass bottles. Benetint has a full-size 0.4 ounce bottle that costs over $30.00. This stain is very watery and has a sponge applicator versus a Benetint brush applicator. I like the sponge better. The product is liquid like water and very pigmented. It can be used on both lips and cheeks. I wanted it for my cheeks, but I love lip stains like that too. Cherryade, the first sample on my hand, is a true red. Stawberryade is a deep pink shade. I'm in the process of getting my Orangeade. The product has a pleasant smell and requires very little. I apply it to one cheek, then blend it out and then apply it to the other cheek. If I apply it to both cheeks and blend one at a time, the other gets smudged with small drops of product. The main thing is to work quickly and mix quickly. It leaves an all natural blush on my cheeks that lasts forever. It doesn't stay on my lips as long as I eat, drink, lick my lips, etc. It gives my lips a rosy, very natural look. It doesn't dry out my lips, but I always exfoliate my skin first and check my lips are in good condition before applying patches like this. This one keeps me from trimming my lips. While I like it on the lips, it really works best on my cheeks. Blended well, it gives me a blush so natural it seems to come from within. It also lasts for hours without fading. It is difficult to remove, but can be removed with a cleanser or makeup remover. If all else fails, the oil will cope with the task immediately. As for comparing this product to Benetint, it's very, very close. Benetint lasts longer on the lips, but the staying power and blush on the cheeks are the same. And that's 1/10th the price! I am delighted and will buy more. It's versatile, inexpensive, and really gets the job done. Now I want to try other Etude products. Korean cosmetics are truly unique and some are simply amazing. This brand definitely gets a thumbs up from me so far. I give it 5 stars even though it fades a little faster on my lips than Benetint based on the price and how it stays on my cheeks.
