They basically consist of a long thin strap with buttons at both ends and an additional button in the middle. You slip one end through or around the toy/pacifier/feeding bowl etc and the other end around a safe surface such as a diaper bag, high chair pole or stroller, your own wrist etc to prevent child's toy from getting caught falls to the ground. Very simple but it works. The strap is made of nylon and looks quite high quality and durable. It's easy to rinse. I've used it to keep my LO from throwing her toys on the floor in public and also to keep her food bowl from hitting the floor when she's in her high chair. Now I always carry one in my diaper bag. Highly recommended.
