Review on πŸ–₯️ Cougar Panzer EVO RGB Black Full Tower Gaming Case with Remote Control and RGB LED Lighting by Edwin Cen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My second choice but better in the end.

Let me start by saying that I originally wanted an EVO RGB, but Revain didn't have it in stock and I wanted it at a certain point. Bought this case and 3 RGB fan packs (RGB case price was about $20 or so but you still have 3 red LED fans (now I have 7 fans per case and unfortunately have to rearrange them again after my cable wires came are.) of the RGB setting in front and not above)). Although my box looked like it had come through a rough patch, the case itself was fine. Plenty of room to manage cables, two HDD bays and four SSD bays (although I'm an M.2 guy), and the PSU shroud makes cable management really easy. I don't say wind. The weight isn't ridiculed, and once you've thrown the water loop, consider carefully if there's anyone around to help you carry it. The PCI shield slots can be easily rearranged if needed, which is a minor plus. The filters are magnetic and relatively easy to clean. For me personally there are only three disadvantages. 1. Those corners. Designed to look like carbon fiber, but the material is more or less vinyl, which many students remember making a rasping sound. 2: Not exactly a minus, but the glass is covered with a protective film. This film generates quite a bit of static electricity when removed. Be careful not to touch your circuits afterwards. Discharging after film removal. 3: 32 hex screws at 8 corners have a slight yellow tint. Attaching the correct wiring from your ceiling to open corners. Edit: 29.07 - day after receipt. Somehow I overlooked the fact that my RGB fans (purchased separately) weren't working, and also overlooked the fact that I have two three-to-one fan headers with only 3 pin sets (Rgb has 4 pins), so I did I ended up daisy-chaining some Molex connectors to power them while debating whether to order a fan hub. I still deeply regret the removal of the three red-lit fans that came with the case, but I'm waiting for the cable mod to arrive today to fully re-fan and properly route the cables. It should be noted that my system didn't get very hot even with only 4 exhaust fans. However, with no intake fans running, it will be channeled through gaps in the glass not protected by the filter. In short, this is a difficult case; Although I still keep my 4-push and 3-pull configuration, even if things get a little dusty. Edit: July 29 - Later in the day. So, in this case, there is a rather painful downside. With the way the front is set, fans will actually try to pull from the inside rather than from the gaps in the front, minimizing the pull. I personally seal small gaps with black matte tape (on both sides) and add another rubber washer to the screws holding the glass to compensate. You can just remove the entire front panel, but that seems like overkill. Edit 5/2/20. So it's been a few years since I bought this suitcase (27th July 2018) and a lot has changed over time. To start, I built a custom water circuit into the case and made a few small cosmetic modifications as well as one functional modification. With a radius of 360 mm, the case with my motherboard does not fit on it. Not because of the mainboard, but because of the case cables themselves. So again, happy ahead. Now this causes some pretty painful problems. The usual joy will not work here. Luckily I used a thin one which barely allowed the reservoir and pump. The pump itself fits into the 3rd SSD mount. A more painful issue is that the fans have moved forward to allow the heatsink to fit. Case, the front glass leaves about 1 cm of air space between them at this point (when using Cougar fans). In return, I bought some 6/32 screws to replace the front thumbscrews, which allowed temperatures to drop to around 40C under heavy GPU loads. However, I would recommend this case for a standard heatsink and fan configuration. Water cooling is not very good, but possible.

Pros
  • Four powerful RGB fans in one exceptional package
Cons
  • High price
