I use a Merkur Futur height-adjustable razor with a setting of 1.5 for my daily shave. I've tried half a dozen other DE blades (including Feathers) and the Kai blades win in every way - smoothness, sharpness and durability. My beard is medium and I can shave 5-6 times with a Kai and get a clean, close shave in a pass or two. As with all sharper DE blades, you need to move very easily, especially around the nostrils and lips. It's important to clean the blade after each use (try an old toothbrush). Be careful, but don't work too hard. Kai does that for you - very, very well. Just bought 100 more.
