I have +/- 75 different types of blades in my collection (including many from before 1980) and Kai blades consistently give the best combination of a close and comfortable DE shave. They are in the Feather class (another personal favourite), and many who have used both find the Kai to be more forgiving. Works great with most DE razors. I tend to play fairly aggressive spins like the R41, Fatip Grande OC and Lo Storto, Blackland Dart and Karve F. Have a Focus T28 Shavette on the way and looking forward to starting with the Kai. By the way, Super Safety Razors is a big seller!

The quality of a razor blade is subjective as there are many variables at play. In my case, I have a "patchy" curly beard, which means the hair follicles are shaped differently than straight hair and aren't as densely packed together. I use a softer vintage Gillette Slim razor, and the Kai blades easily provide the best shave of any blade I've tried, including the acclaimed Feather, its Japanese cousin.

Great Blades! Sharp but rare cuts and minimal irritation. While most DE blades last 3-4 shaves on me, these can last 4-5 (and I even upped it to 6). Works well with soft razors like Superspeed or Edwin Jagger. These are my favorites, followed by Feather and Polsilver. Yes they are way better than Personna or Astra but for me they offer a way better shave.

I use a Merkur Futur height-adjustable razor with a setting of 1.5 for my daily shave. If you like wet shaving in Germany, do yourself a favor and try these out. I prefer to use these SUPER sharp blades in a less aggressive razor but with a good shaving cream. I do one pass with the grain and one pass against the fibers and that's it. Smooth, close shave, no nicks and long blade life. 4-5 quality shaves with one blade. My beard is medium.
