Quick and easy best in Manifolds and Parts

I installed this manifold along with a new carburetor on a 1965 Ford F100 with a 240 inline 6 engine. The original installation was a Load-A-Matic vacuum feed manifold with an Autolite carburetor 1100. I struggled with this setup for years. The truck started and ran well, but the handling was terrible. It had no power, often stalled and would not restart. I wanted to replace the carburetor with something else, but the original manifold didn't work with the other carburetor. Both had to be replaced. I went with a Carter YFA carburetor and this distributor. After replacing the carburetor and distributor, the car became different. This distributor is a great idea. HEI's design is simple and reliable. You only need to connect 1 cable and a vacuum hose. The items in the distributor are the same as genuine GM parts. If you need a coil or ignition module, just tell the guy at the parts desk you have a 1978 Camaro straight-six. I had to modify my plug wires as the new distributor cap has male terminals and the original cap has female holes. I ordered a set of spades of the appropriate type, cut the ends off the original wires, and crimped the new ones. Electronic ignition is a game changer. It infuriates purists, but I'm more interested in a failsafe ride than sheer originality.
