I bought six of these to mount some paintings in Kenyan fabric. The wooden frames are great. I'm sick of the MDF frames (wood powder and glue) that are often advertised as "wood" but really aren't. They are solidly built and beautiful. However, the back panel is made of MDF, but much better than the thick cardboard or unnecessary corrugated cardboard that is often used, and very durable. The hanging vertical hanger is good. It has a pair for hanging horizontally (which is not my preference). Note that curved metal fingers aren't used to secure the frame's contents, but rather rotating rivet versions - six of them - that are easy to attach and open, making photo sharing easier. The carpets are pure white and finely carved. I used my own instead, but the originals are good. For those who cut their own mats, only one mat is allowed. So if you want to do something more unusual, such as B. a second contrast passe-partout, you have to use art paper for it or throw away the base and open the set yourself. own fittings. I mentioned minor inconsistencies. Two of the six base plates were a few millimeters narrower than the hole, but that doesn't matter at all. I wish they made them in a variety of sizes and proportions as I could use them on many projects.
