Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta 9 185/65 R15 92T winter by Ada Lewandowska ᠌

Excellent product, the best quality.

I took to replace michelin X-Ice North 4 which I could not endure for more than a season. What can I say, the tires are excellent in almost all respects, they have become softer and more comfortable than their predecessors (I can only compare with Hakka 7), the most important thing is that the sensitivity to rutting has disappeared, which was very annoying at 7k. Joints and pits swallows without losing controllability. The spikes are noisy but do not howl no louder than the same X-Ice North 4, which is positioned as the quietest, is almost as comfortable on asphalt, but does not suffer from parasitic shift / shift in corners, and in snow and ice the characteristics are much more confident. There is no effect of sliding on ice sprinkled with fresh snow like some tires have, grip on all types of surfaces is equally confident without distortions in any direction, as it should be with winter tires. Good directional stability, no car pull to the side when one wheel slips. The workmanship is decent, there were no beats on the balancing, the maximum weight was 10g. but the drawback is still present, this is the chipping of the rubber around the spike already at the break-in stage. At the moment, grooves of crumbled rubber have formed around all the spikes (for example, on the same X-Ice North 4, the rubber around the spike remained untouched during the season).

Pros
  • Smooth running Quieter than their predecessors Spikes sit securely Weak rut sensitivity Handling snow, ice, asphalt exchange rate stability Braking
Cons
  • The rubber around the spike is already crumbling at the break-in stage.

Has pros: The spikes for the season are all in place. Its cons: Cars are not allowed on the paved road.
